Box Score Back in the win column for Dodge City women's soccer as they hit the road for more Jayhawk conference action and earned a 1-0 victory over Seward County.
The win moves the Conquistadors to 4-2 on the season and 2-2 in KJCCC action. Conqs have won three in a row against the Saints of Seward County and are 3-0-2 all-time.
The Conqs would look to make an impact early, and while only having six shots in the first half, would break through in the 19th minute as Jada Ladmond connected with
Mette Battling for the goal. The Conqs would carry the 1-0 lead into halftime, and in the second half, the contest would see only five more shots as the Conqs would be outshot 4-1 in the half, but the defense was stout yet again, stymying Seward County for the shutout 1-0 victory.
The shutout win is the third of the season for the Conqs as the defense limited Seward County to just eight total shots and only two on goal.
Kimya Kante-Mavuba played all 90 minutes in goal, recording two saves.
Conqs are back on the road again on Saturday, September 27th, as they travel to Arkansas City to take on #7 Cowley.
