2025 Victory Electric Classic Volleyball Tournament

Dodge City to Host Victory Electric Classic Volleyball Tournament - Action Set to Feature Six National Ranked Teams

August 26, 2025

For the second consecutive year, Dodge City will host the Victory Electric Classic volleyball tournament early in the season. This year's tournament will feature seven teams in action over three days, with six of the seven teams participating ranked in the NJCAA Division I preseason rankings.

The Victory Electric Classic will feature the host #18 Dodge City, alongside #2 Miami Dade, #8 Missouri State University – West Plains, #9 Barton, #11 New Mexico Military Institute, #14 Eastern Arizona, and Lee. Six of the seven teams finished the 2024 season with 20+, while five of the seven participated in the NJCAA Division I National Tournament. Miami Dade finished last season as NJCAA runner-up, Barton fourth place, and West Plains fifth place at the 2024 NJCAA DI National Tournament.

"We are very excited to have the caliber of teams that we do coming into Dodge City for this tournament. Coach Mellinger has done a great job of reaching out to her contacts to bring in top-level NJCAA Division I teams to play in our gym. I would be remiss if we didn't thank Victory Electric as a sponsor of this tournament. Their belief in our institution and our athletic program is a big part of the reason we can put on a tournament of this quality," said Athletic Director Jacob Ripple

The tournament will start Thursday, August 28th, in the evening with two matchups as West Plains will take on NMMI and Barton at 5:30 and 7:30 pm. Friday, August 29th, will feature six games with the following schedule: 10:00am – Barton vs. Eastern Arizona, 11:30am – Lee vs. NMMI, 1:00pm – Dodge City vs. Eastern Arizona, 2:30pm – NMMI vs. Miami Dade, 4:00pm – Barton vs. Lee, and 5:30pm – Dodge City vs. Miami Dade. The tournament will wrap up on Saturday, August 30th, with six more games with the following schedule: 9:00am – Eastern Arizona vs. Lee, 10:30am – Miami Dade vs. Barton, 12:00pm – Dodge City vs. Lee, 1:30pm – Barton vs. NMMI, 3:00pm – Miami Dade vs. Eastern Arizona, and 4:30pm – Dodge City vs. NMMI.
