The annual CONQY awards have been a hit each of the past few years and will return for the 2025-26 school year and will take place on Tuesday, April 28th at 7:00 pm in the Little Theatre on the Dodge City Community College campus with purple carpet pre-awards interviews and pictures starting at 6:30 pm.
 
The CONQY awards are a yearly awards ceremony put together by Dodge City Community College athletics to honor and recognize the accomplishments of our student-athletes in competition and in the classroom. 
 
The evening will consist of recognizing Conquistador athletes, coaches, and teams for their success including All-Conference honors and more. Also, on the night 14 other awards will be given out to recognize Conquistador athletes, coaches, teams, faculty, and more.
 
The 2025 CONQY awards are listed below:
 
Female Athlete of the Year – awarded to top female student-athlete of the year based on performance in respective sport
 
Male Athlete of the Year – awarded to top male student-athlete of the year based on performance in respective sport
 
Team of the Year – awarded to top team of the year based on performance in respective sport
 
"Goff Family" Female Scholar Athlete of the Year – awarded to female student-athlete that found great success in the classroom along with success in their respective sport
 
"Goff Family" Male Scholar Athlete of the Year – awarded to male student-athlete that found great success in the classroom along with success in their respective sport
 
CONQ Service Award – awarded to team that who made an impact off the field/court with community service, community involvement, school spirit, and more. 
 
CONQ Spirit Award – awarded to student-athlete that has shown great spirit and support for Conquistador athletics and exemplify great character. 
 
Leadership Award – awarded to six student-athletes who have exemplified leadership for their team and as a student-athlete overall representing Conquistador athletics in positive way
 
Adversity Award – awarded to student-athlete who in the eyes of adversity battled through and overcame obstacles to find success
 
Game of the Year – recognize the top game of the year for Conquistador athletics (example: big win by a team; close victory happening in big fashion; etc.)  
 
Play of the Year – awarded to student-athlete/team for top play of the year (will be a big play that impacted a game in a big way for the Conquistadors) 
 
Performance of the Year – awarded to a team or individual student-athlete for a top performance in a single game or event 
  
Faculty/Staff Member of the Year – awarded to Dodge City professor or faculty member who had a big impact on student-athletes over the year and their success. (students can nominate professors or faculty for this award to decide the winner) 
 
The CONQY awards are set for Tuesday, April 28th at 7:00 pm at the Little Theatre on campus all student-athletes, coaches, athletic personnel, along with college personnel are invited. The purple carpet pre-awards interviews & pictures will start at 6:30 pm leading up to the awards. The event will be live streamed on CONQTV (just awards will be live streamed – pre-awards interviews will be posted after event)
