Dodge City volleyball hit the road and avenged an earlier season loss to rival Garden City with a three-set sweep, taking the match 25-19, 25-21, 25-22. 

The victory moves the Conquistadors to 12-13 on the season and 6-7 in conference play. 

The Conqs fell behind early in the first set, trailing 10-5, but settled in and took control of the first set with an 8-1 run to lead 13-11. It would remain tight in the first set until the Conqs pushed the lead out late in going up 22-16, and then earned the first set win 25-19. Up 4-2 early in the second set, Garden City flipped the lead to their side at 5-4, but Conqs again not rattled, answered back to regain the lead with a 3-0 run, making it 7-5. It would remain within a few points until the Conqs pushed the lead out to six at 17-11 midway through the second set. Up 21-14 late in the second set, Garden City pushed back to close the gap, but ultimately the Conqs would hold them off to take it 25-21. Back-and-forth the third set would go as the teams traded points, working to an 11-11 tie then 12-12 when the Conqs went on a 5-0 run to take control at 17-12. The Conqs utilized that run to win the third set 25-22 and sweep Garden City in three sets. 

The Conqs had a big night from Sunni Skipps, who hit .524 with 12 kills, adding five aces and five digs. Mali Towers had her fifth straight double-digit dig performance, recording 11, while Chelsea Durbirdge finished with 31 assists, six digs, and two block assists. 

Up next, the Conqs are on the road again as they travel to Concordia, Kansas, to take on Cloud County on Saturday, October 25th, for a 3:00 pm match.
