The match opened with a bang as the Conqs snagged the early advantage just over two minutes into the contest as Musashi Tanaka from 20+ yards out tallied a goal on a pass from Theo Hoang giving the Conqs a 1-0 lead. That lead would hold until the 16th minute when Coffeyville would strike on a header from a throw-in and even the contest at 1-1. With just under 10 minutes remaining in the first half, the Conqs would fall behind as the Red Ravens snagged their second goal and would carry a 2-1 lead into halftime.
