Riding a high after a big win over Barton to open KJCCC action the Dodge City men's soccer team traveled to Wichita to continue conference action taking on KCK and would battle throughout but fall 1-0.
The loss moves the Conqs to 1-2 on the season and 1-1 in KJCCC action.
It would be early that KCK got a few looks towards the goal and would snag what would be the only goal of the match coming in the fourth minute. The Conqs would push back and get some opportunities including a few set pieces off corner kicks but would enter halftime down 1-0. That 1-0 lead would hold up in the second half for KCK as both teams had limited shot opportunities.
Each team generated nine shots each in the contest, while
Marcos Brondolo recorded four saves in the loss.
The Conqs are back in action at home in non-conference play on Wednesday, September 4
th when they will take on Northern Oklahoma College-Enid at 3:00 pm.
