Dodge City volleyball opened the second half of the KJCCC slate taking on rival Garden City on the road and claimed their seventh conference win of the season in four sets.

The Conquistadors earned the four-set win 25-22, 17-25, 25-20, 25-19 on the road against the Broncbusters of Garden City. The win moves the Conqs 16-10 on the season and 7-2 in KJCCC action also giving them a three-match win streak. The Conqs have won six of the last nine meetings against Garden City.

The night started with a tight contest from wire-to-wire in the first set as the Conqs would secure the set late to take the lead in the match with a 25-22 set. The second set was flipped as Garden City took early control and the Conqs would not be able to overcome that deficit seeing the Broncbusters even the match with a 25-17 second set. The third set saw the Conqs fly out to a 15-5 lead and despite Garden City pushing back to close the gap the Conqs would use that early separation to take the third set 25-20. In the fourth set, the Conqs took early control again and continually had Garden City playing from behind to take the set 25-19 to win the match in four.

Conqs recorded 60+ digs in a match for the sixth time this season led by
Leisey Keli'i who had 19 digs at the libero spot adding two assists and one ace.
Hayden Pinard finished with 26 assists and 12 digs on the night while
Azra Arslanoglu posted 16 digs, nine kills, and two aces.
Agnes Hegardt and
Amariah White both posted eight kills while adding six and eight block assists, respectively.

The Conqs are back home on Wednesday, October 9th at 6:30 pm as they host Hutchinson to continue KJCCC action.
