The Dodge City men's soccer team hit the road for KJCCC action and came out with a point in the conference standings after a scoreless tie with KCK in Kansas City.
The Conquistadors with the tie move to 4-6-1 on the season and 3-4-1 in KJCCC action.
Throughout the first half, the Conqs would have a few opportunities but would be unable to finish while KCK blasted nine shots and the Conqs would keep them off the board. The defense in the second half was stout by the Conqs again for 45 minutes with a big penalty kick save by
Geovanni De Luna early in the half to keep the match scoreless. The Conqs would make several other big defensive plays to stop multiple KCK scoring chances in the six-yard box and finish with a 0-0 tie.
In an even match the Conqs were outshot just 16-13 while De Luna made seven saves in the matchup including the penalty kick save. The defense all-around would see sevearl plays across the board to keep KCK off the board for the day.
The Conqs are back in action on Sunday, October 6th in Kansas City as they take on #1 Indian Hills in a neutral site contest.
