Dodge City women's soccer started the second go around in KJCCC by facing off with #7 Barton on the road and would push the Cougars to the limit but fell 1-0.
The loss moves the Conqs to 2-5-3 on the season and 1-5-3 in KJCCC action.
Early in the contest just 6:25 into the matchup Barton found a way to get on the board and the Conqs would play from behind the rest of the way but keep the Cougars off the board the remainder of the contest, also. Nearly even in shots in the first half with Barton outshooting the Conqs just 6-5 the second half saw Barton on the prowl more outshooting the Conqs 8-1 however the Conqs would keep Barton off the scoreboard. However, the Conqs were unable to find their way on the scoreboard falling 1-0.
The Conqs were outshot in the contest 14-6 with only a pair of shots on goal with one each coming from
Giselle Heck and
Femke Wiedeman.
Lucia Martinez Garcia recorded six saves in goal in the loss.
