Dodge City men's soccer returned to the win column picking up a 2-0 victory against Seward County on Wednesday night. 
 
The win moves the Conquistadors to 4-2-1 on the season and 2-2-1 in KJCCC action. 
 
The first half would feature opportunities for both sides as it was nearly even in every compacity leading to the game remaining locked up at 0-0 at halftime. The second half would be different as the Conqs started to be on the prowl more offensively and it paid dividends early as Vicente Sandoval set a corner kick into a group that ultimately was scored off the foot of Andres Rocha to make it 1-0 Conqs. It would remain 1-0 until the late portion of the action as Sandoval would find Aaron Melgar for his third goal of the season giving the Conqs a 2-0 advantage which they would go on to earn the win by. 
 
The Conqs would outshoot the Saints of Seward County 20-9 including 15-5 in the second half. Eric Zalaya recorded three saves including a spectacular kick save in the win playing all 90 in the goal. 
 
Up next the Conqs step back out of conference play and will take on Southwestern JV on Wednesday, September 20th at 6:00 pm in Winfield, Kansas.
