Dodge City men's soccer team claimed their first KJCCC win of the season going on the road to claim a 2-1 decision against KCK. 

The win moves the Conquistadors to 2-1 on the season and 1-1 in KJCCC action, while making it three in a row in the series against the Blue Devils of KCK. 

The Conqs set the tone early making a push towards the goal and Andres Rocha fired off a shot that would rebound off the KCK goalkeeper setting up Angel Andreu for the first goal of the day just over three minutes into the contest. Lead 1-0 the Conqs extended their lead just over a minute into the second half as Andres Rocha found Arthur Lemeunier for the Conqs' second goal of the afternoon. In the 64th minute, KCK found the back of the net to make it a one-goal contest but the Conqs would hold off the Blue Devils securing the 2-1 win. 

In the win, the Conqs were outshot by KCK 11-7 but both teams had five shots on goal. Andreu and Lemeunier tallied the two Conq goals, while Rocha finished with a pair of assists. Eric Zalaya tallied four saves earning the win in goal for the Conqs.

Up next the Conqs are on the road in non-conference action on September 2nd and 3rd when they travel to Enid, Oklahoma to take on Crowder and Northern Oklahoma-Enid.
