Conqs would get on the board first to open the series as Melanie Castro opened the weekend with a leadoff walk and would come into score on an RBI double by Camryn Lenz in the first inning. The lead grew for the Conqs in the second as they worked the bases loaded on a pair of walks and a hit batter and then scored the second run of the game on a Mia Golka bases-loaded walk. KCK would get on the board in the bottom of the second scoring three and then took the lead with two runs in the third. An RBI double by Raemie Lopp for the Conqs evened the game up at 5-5 in the top of the fourth but in the bottom of the fourth KCK countered with three runs and then two more in the fifth. The sixth inning saw the Conqs get on the board again on an RBI double by Addison Spencer but KCK answered once more with four runs to finish the game in the sixth at 14-6.
