                    Box Score The struggles continued for Dodge City volleyball as the Conquistadors hit the road to take on #19 Barton and the Cougars would get the better of the Conqs winning in three straight sets.
The Conqs battled in the first set but would fall 3-0 (25-23, 25-14, 25-14) to Barton on the road pushing the Conqs' losing streak to five and six of the last seven matches. The loss also moves the Conqs to 12-13 on the season and 3-7 in KJCCC action.
After taking the lead early in the first set Barton would push back and tighten up the contest leading to a down-to-the-wire first set that the Cougars would capture 25-23. Sets two and three would be drastically different as the Cougars pounced on the lead early in each set and never looked back handing the Conqs a pair of 25-14 set losses and finishing the match in three sets.
In the loss, the Conqs struggled overall as Beatriz Lampugnani Cornachini registered eight kills and eight digs, while Tess De Zanet added seven kills and seven digs. Leisey Keli'i recorded 10 digs and four assists, while Sierra Scanlan finished with 15 assists.
Six matches remain in the regular season for the Conqs with the final three matches at home and four of the final six at home overall. Up next the Conqs are on the road again with a quick turn-around to take on Butler on Monday, October 9th at 6:00 pm.
