                    Box Score For the third straight match, the Dodge City volleyball team would play five sets to decide the outcome of a KJCCC contest and the Conquistadors faced off against rival Garden City for the second straight night this time in Garden City and would fall to the Broncbusters. 
The Conqs dropped the match in five sets 25-18, 18-25, 24-26, 25-16, 8-15 against Garden City falling to 12-12 on the season and 3-6 in KJCCC play. 
Jumping out to an early lead the Conqs took control early but would see Garden City push back to tighten up the first set until a late run led by a pair of aces from Jatnna Pena helped the Conqs string seven points together to ultimately take the first set 25-18. Garden City jumped out to the early advantage in set two and would use that to each the Conqs at arm's length in the set and win it 25-18 to even the match. The Broncbusters and Conqs would be back-and-forth in a tight battle in the third set and the Conqs pushed back late to move the set into extra points, but Garden City grabbed it 26-24. A strong start to the fourth set propelled the Conqs to the set winning it 25-16 to even the match at two sets each. The fifth set opened with Garden City going up 4-1 but the Conqs answered to tie the set at 5-5 only to see the Broncbusters push back and work ahead again to go on to take the set 15-8 and hand the Conqs the loss. 
In the loss, Tess De Zanet tallied another double-double with 18 kills and 10 digs, while adding three aces. Beatriz Lampugnani Cornachini added 17 kills with six digs and two aces, while Sierra Scanlan had a double-double with 45 assists and 17 digs adding four kills. Leisey Keli'i recorded another 20+ dig performance finishing with 20 digs in the loss. 
Conqs continue KJCCC play as they take on #19 Barton on the road in Great Bend on Saturday, October 8th at 2:00 pm to continue their season.
