Curtis Rearden III & Sonny Semeatu Earn Offensive & Special Teams KJCCC "Player of the Week" Honors

The Dodge City football team had several big-time performances in last week's win over #9 Iowa Central 34-30 and a pair of Conquistadors have been recognized with KJCCC honors for their performances.

Curtis Rearden III and Sonny Semeatu were named Offensive "Player of the Week" and Special Teams "Player of the Week" in the KJCCC. The honors now give the Conqs four KJCCC "Players of the Week" this season with the other two being on defense. 

Rearden was a key piece of the Conqs offense that had 451 total yards including 309 in the passing game as Curtis caught six passes for 129 yards and two touchdowns. He averaged 21.5 yards per catch with a long of 55 yards that went for a touchdown and had a pair of one-handed catches. On the season he has 13 receptions in five games for 237 yards and three touchdowns. 

Semeatu helped the Conqs keep Iowa Central off the scoreboard on the opening drive of the second half as he blocked a field goal attempt by the Tritons of Iowa Central. He added four tackles with two sacks on defense also for the Conqs in the win. On the year Semeatu has 33 tackles with 4.5 sacks and 11 tackles for loss. 

The #10 ranked Conqs are in a bye week and then will take on #13 Butler on Saturday, November 4th at home before wrapping up the regular season with a matchup against Independence on Saturday, November 11th.
