Dodge City Men's Soccer picked up their ninth win of the season taking down Newman JV on the road in Wichita with a 4-0 victory.
The win moves the Conquistadors to 9-4-2 on the season. The Conqs are assured their sixth winning season in seven years under Head Coach, Oscar Zelaya.Â
Behind a pair of goals in each half, the Conqs cruised past Newman JV on the road as they took the lead three minutes into the contest with Crescenzo Christian Difficile tallying the first goal of the day as Kota Yoshida found him to record the assist. It remained 1-0 until just two minutes before halftime when Yosiha got a goal for himself on a pass from Daniel Bousquet and the Conqs led 2-0 at intermission. The lead grew in the second half as the Conqs scored again in the 58th minute on sixth goal of the season for Andres Rocha as Difficile tallied the assist. Then in the 67th minute, the Conqs grabbed the final goal of the game as Yoshida netted his second goal of the contest after Pedro José Ortega connected with him for the goal leading to the Conqs' 4-0 win.Â
Conqs will host Coffeyville on Monday, October 23rd at 4:00 pm for the final KJCCC contest of the season and it will be sophomore day with recognition prior to the match.
