Men's Basketball Dispatches of Colby for 13th Win

Dodge City men's basketball continued the run in KJCCC action by taking down another conference foe this time dispatching Colby 92-78.
 
With the win the Conquistadors moved to 13-3 overall on the season and 9-1 in KJCCC action and now own a two-game lead in the conference standings after losses by other teams on Saturday.  
 
Conqs got a Jason Edwards three-pointer to open the scoring and would work to a 14-9 lead nearly five minutes into the contest. Colby would answer and push back drawing close, but the Conqs would grow the lead back out taking their first double figure lead at 28-18 with 8:30 minutes left in the first half. The points kept coming in the first half for the Conqs all the way to the tune of a 53-38 lead at halftime. The Trojans of Colby would mount a few runs in the second half but where never able to get closer than 11 points as the Conqs would push the lead out on the way to the 92-78 victory. 
 
The Conqs shot 50.7% from the floor on the night including making a season high 12 three-pointers while Colby shot just 38.6% from the floor. Conqs shared the ball well with 20 assists on 34 made field goals. 
 
Edwards posted another 20+ point performance finishing with a game-high 26 points on 11-16 shooting and added seven rebounds and seven assists both career highs. Jacobi Sebock chipped in 16 points on 6-10 shooting, while Avnoor Bhullar recorded his fifth double figure performance posting 11 points and grabbed a career-best seven rebounds. Cam Malray added 11 points and eight rebounds, while DJ Jones posted 10 points, five assists, and five steals.
 
Back to action on Wednesday, January 11th when the Conqs will host Pratt at 7:30 pm.
