Dodge City women's soccer dropped a tough KJCCC tilt on the road against KCK Blue Devils falling 4-0.
The loss for the Conquistadors moves them to 1-5-1 on the season and still in search of their first official KJCCC win of the season after the game vs Garden City was suspended due to weather.
Conqs saw KCK take the advantage in the first 10 minutes of the contest with an early goal but the Conqs would hold the Blue Devils to just one tally in the first half entering halftime trailing just 1-0. In the second half, KCK extend their lead to 2-0 nine minutes into the half and then tacked on two more goals in the final 10 minutes of the match as the Conqs fell 4-0 on the road.
The Conqs struggled to get consistent opportunities being outshot 20-8 in the contest.
Femke Wiedeman had three shots with two on goal in the loss, while
Joelle Brand recorded six saves.
Conqs are on the road again for their next contest as they will travel to Arkansas City to play Cowley at 5:00 pm on Wednesday, September 28th.
