Dodge City men's soccer stepped back into conference play on Wednesday night and hosted rival Garden City and picked up their fourth-straight win over the Broncbusters behind a 2-0 decision.
The Conquistadors after stalemate of a first half picked up the pace in the second half and secured the 2-0 win over Garden City to improve to 7-2 on the season and 2-1 in KJCCC action. The win marks the fourth-straight and seventh in the last nine meetings for the Conqs in the series with Garden City.
In the first half Garden City controlled the pace and possession but despite the few chances for the Conqs in the first half it was a stalemate at 0-0 entering halftime. The second half saw the Conqs step on the gas and pick up the pace and control possession to outshoot the Broncbusters 13-3 in the half and find a way to score two goals. In the 52

Diego Marcelino Olivares gathered a Garden City goal kick in and from 70-yards out booted one over the head of the Broncbuster goalkeeper to give the Conqs the 1-0 lead. In the 67

Janik Buch sent a cross into the box and
Andres Rocha connected on it to make it 2-0 Conqs leading the 2-0 win.
The Conqs outshot Garden City 17-10 and 10-4 in shots on goal with Olivares and Rocha getting the goals.
Eric Zalaya in goal picked up another win recording the shutout and tallying four saves.
