Men's Basketball Makes it Four Wins in Row with Road Victory Over McCook

Dodge City men's basketball made it four wins in a row as they took down McCook on the road claiming a 71-58 victory. 

Behind a late push in the contest, the Conquistadors separated themselves from the Indians of McCook to secure the win and improve to 4-1 on the season. 

The Conqs would fall behind early in the contest as McCook opened the game on a 13-2 run, but the Conqs pushed back to make it a tight contest throughout the first half with both teams holding leads. Conqs despite holding a lead in the first half found themselves trailing at halftime 36-35 to McCook. The second half would see the Conqs finish strong ultimately outscoring the Indians 36-22 in the half securing the win late with a strong finish down the stretch to earn the double-figure win on the road, 71-58. 

Conqs shot 41.4% from the floor while holding McCook to 31.1% shooting on the night, and the Conqs took care of the ball better than the Indians they only had 12 turnovers compared to the 23 from McCook. 

Jason Edwards continued his strong stretch early this season establishing a new career-high with 21 points on 8-14 shooting. Jacobi Sebock with a double-double with career-best marks in points and rebounds, tallying 13 points and grabbing 10 rebounds. Avnoor Bhullar added 13 points and seven rebounds for the Conqs. 

Headed into conference play the Conqs go to continue their season in their next contest on Saturday, November 19th as they travel to Arkansas City to take on Cowley at 3:00 pm.
