Dodge City volleyball team continued their stretch of road games to wrap up the regular season as they traveled to El Dorado to take on #19 Butler.

The Conquistadors were looking for the series sweep on the season against the Grizzles but it was Butler coming out on top winning the match 3-0 (25-14, 25-12, 25-23). The loss moves the Conqs to 19-8 on the season and 8-6 in KJCCC action.

After and back-and-forth tight start to the first set the Conqs would see Butler snag control of the set going by four points at 12-8 leading to a Dodge City timeout. The Grizzles used that advantage to maintain control of the first set ultimately taking it 25-14. Set two saw Butler jump out early and work to a 12-3 advantage which proved too much for the Conqs to overcome as they fell 25-12 in the second set. The Conqs continued to fight in the third set taking the lead early and leading the set until late as Butler hung close and closed the gap late to secure the third set 25-23 to end the match.
