For the fourth time in the last five games, the Dodge City volleyball team put a mark in the win column as they earned a straight-set win over Pratt on the road.
The Conquistadors cruised to a 3-0 win over Pratt on the road winning 25-13, 25-11, and 25-20 moving their record to 19-7 on the season and 8-5 in KJCCC action. The 19 wins mark the most wins for the Conqs in a season since 2017.
Conqs set the tone early and would control the first two sets on the night cruising past the Beavers of Pratt 25-13 and 25-11. The 11 points in set two marks the third time this season the Conqs have held an opponent to just 11 points in a set the lowest an opponent has scored in a set this year versus the Conqs. Set three was a bit tighter but the Conqs finished strong and secured the straight-set sweep with a 25-20 third set.
Oliwia Durka posted 15 kills, while
Ozge Tan added 12 in the Conqs road win with
Miya Alvarado chipping in nine kills.
Nur Yaren Turkmenoglu finished with 37 assists while adding four aces and eight digs.
Jatnna Pena tallied 28 digs and four assists, while
Alannah Lozoya recorded five aces and
Akeir Scales had a career-high four kills.
The Conqs hit the road again on Saturday, October 22nd as they take on #19 Butler at 2:00 pm in El Dorado.
