Dodge City women's soccer team picked up not only one win but two in the same day over beating rival Garden City 2-1 in overtime and 2-0.
The 2-1 decision came in the regularly scheduled contest as the Conquistadors came from behind to win early in overtime over the Broncbusters. The second win of the day was from the suspended game back on September 21st as the Conqs finished the final 20:54 of the match from that day to gain the 2-0 win.
With the two wins the Conqs move to 5-8-1 and 4-8 in KJCCC action on the season while making it 13-straight wins in the series with Garden City.
It was nearly a stalemate entering halftime of the first contest of the day but in the 42nd minute Garden City tallied the first goal of the match to make it 1-0. In the second half, the Conqs pushed the issue and would outshoot the Broncbusters 11-6 with several solid opportunities, but it wasn't until the 73rd minute when the Conqs earned a penalty kick opportunity that they would tie the game up.
Femke Wiedeman took the penalty kick and netted the goal to make it 1-1. The contest would go into overtime and just 1:10 into the extra period

The Conqs would outshoot Garden City 19-15 in the matchup with Wiedeman and Fujii each recording a goal.
Joelle Brand was strong in the goal coming up with eight saves in the win.
To cap the night the Conqs finished their suspended game with the Broncbusters from September 21st playing the final 20:54 having a 2-0 lead and would make that 2-0 lead stand up to secure the win. Fujii netted both goals for the Conqs back on September 21st as the Conqs would outshoot Garden City 12-10.
Conqs will wrap up the regular season on Wednesday, October 26th when they host Cowley at 5:00 pm.
