Dodge City men's soccer stepped outside of conference play on Tuesday and faced Allen CC JV in Wichita and snapped a three-game losing streak behind a 2-0 win.
The Conquistadors with the win moved to 9-5 on the season while also marking the 50th career win for Head Coach,
Oscar Zelaya all with the Conqs.
After playing a scoreless first half against the Red Devils the Conqs picked up the pace and controlled the second half on the way to the victory. The Conqs would outshoot Allen JV 12-1 in the second half and tally a pair of goals as
Juan Ballesta and
Christopher Velez each netted a goal in the second half to give the Conqs the lead and a 2-0 win.
Erik Martinez and
Pedro Schafer da Silva each tallied an assist in the win as the Conqs ultimately outshot Allen JV 17-4 in the match.
The Conqs are back in action with a KJCCC showdown against Johnson County on Sunday, October 16th at 3:00 pm.
