Looking to avenge an earlier season loss the Dodge City volleyball team hosted rival Garden City on Friday night and in front of a rocking atmosphere in the Dome broke out the brooms for a three-set sweep of the Broncbusters. 
The Conquistadors earned the 3-0 win (25-19, 26-24, 25-18) over Garden City to win for the ninth time in the last 14 meetings in the series. The win moves the Conqs to 15-5 on the season and 4-3 in KJCCC action. 
After trading the lead early in the first set to open the night the Conqs and Broncbusters were tied at 10-10 and then the Conqs would go up 16-13 and 19-16 leading to Broncbuster timeouts at each score. Conqs would end the first set outscoring Garden City 6-3 to take the early advantage by winning the set on 25-19 as 
Alannah Lozoya recorded an ace on set point. Garden City took the early lead in the second set going up 7-4 and led 20-16 but the Conqs mounted a 6-0 run to grab the lead and ultimately snagged a 26-24 second set win. Set three saw Garden City take a 7-4 lead early but the Conqs tied the set at 8-8 after a 4-1 run and then grabbed the lead at 10-9. The lead continued to grow for the Conqs in the third set as they capped the match with a 25-18 third set. 
Oliwia Durka had a strong performance to help lead the way for the Conqs on the night finishing with 16 kills, while 
Ozge Tan added a double-double with 12 kills and 10 digs. 
Martyna Kmuk tallied 12 digs for the Conqs and added four kills, while 
Jatnna Pena had 11 digs. 
Nur Yaren Turkmenoglu finished with 34 assists, and fill the stat sheet with four kills, two aces, four digs, a solo block, and a block assist. J'Carrra Mitchell was strong in the middle with two kills, two digs, three solo blocks, and two block assists.
Conqs are back in action at home on Monday, October 3rd against #12 Seward County at 6:30 pm.
