Game Recap: Baseball |

Bats Keep Producing as Conquistador Baseball Wins it's 6th and 7th Straight

(Culver, TX.) -- The Dodge City Community College Baseball could not stop hitting Monday as they came up with a pair of victories over Oklahoma Panhandle State University JV, and Dakota College at Babineau 28-4, and 14-3.

In the first game against OPSU, DC3 would start hitting early, and often. In the first inning, they would score 4 runs, and the game was already out of reach after two innings with the Conquistadors, adding 10 more runs in the inning. The Conqs would have another monster inning in this one as they added 12 runs in the 4th inning leading to the 28-4 mercy-rule victory.

Spencer Marcus and Jackson Hogg each had 6 RBI's in the game, and each belted a pair of home runs. Ryan Santos and Noah Webb added 3 RBI's each. Logan Murany had a home run as well.

The offense did not slow down much in the second game as the Conqs lineup is starting to become a force to be reckoned with. The Conquistadors again started out fast with 7 runs in the first frame. They would add 1 in the second, 2 in the fourth, and 4 in the sixth to get their second mercy-rule victory of the day.

Ryan Santos had another big game, going 2-4 with 4 RBI's. Logan McKay also was a big factor, hitting a home run and knocking in 5.

DC3 now has some time to rest. Hopefully, the bats don't cool off as their next game is not scheduled until March 5th. That one is the home opener in Dodge City as the Conqs take on Lamar Community College.
