Box Score The Dodge City Community College women's soccer team had already secured a birth in the Region VI Playoffs, but they wanted to finish the regular season on a positive note to gain momentum for the tournament. They were able to do just that as they defeated Garden City by a 3-1 score in the final game of the regular season for both teams.

The Conqs did not get off to the start that they were hoping for as they had a significant wind at their back to start the game. Marcela Martinez Coronado broke through  in the 25th minute of the game to give the Conqs a 1-0 lead that they would take to the half. The second half looked to be a daunting task as Dodge City would be working into the wind that was at their back earlier. Early in the half it looked like the Broncbusters would take advantage of having the wind at their back as they were able to hold off the Conqs and finally got a goal of their own in the 65th minute to tie the game at 1. The Conqs would kept attacking and finally got good things to happen for them. Garden was called for a penalty inside the box with just under 20 minutes remaining in regulation. Alejandra Arreola was able to bury the penalty kick to give Dodge the 2-1 lead. Then Brittany Ramirez gave the Conqs an insurance goal in the 87th minute as she headed home a rebound off of a Liliana Vasquez rocket that hit the crossbar.

The win pushed the Conqs final regular season record to 9-8-1 overall and 8-6 in Jayhawk West Conference play. They will travel to El Dorado, KS to take on Butler Community College at 7:00pm on Wednesday night in the first round of the Region VI tournament.
