Box Score The Conquistador Volleyball team faced Garden City for the second time this season and picked up a season sweep of the Broncbusters. Again this time Dodge City came out fired up winning the first set and used that momentum to get the match win.
In the opening set the Conqs gradually built a lead through the first part of the set as they led 13-7 at almost the midway point. Garden made a run at that point and got the score tightened up and pulled within one point at 19-18. At that point the Conqs reeled off four straight to build a 23-18 lead and eventually closed out the set 25-21.
The second set started very evenly as the two team were within a point or two all the way through the first 10 points of the set. Garden put together a small run to build their lead to 14-10, but the Conqs pushed back and eventually got the set tied at 18. The set remained tight the rest of the way and Dodge City had a chance to win leading 24-23, but gave up three straight points and dropped the set 24-26.
The third set once again looked like it was going to be a very tightly contested set when Dodge led 5-4 early in the set. The Conqs scored eight of the next ten points to stretch their lead to 13-6 and never really looked back from that point, winning the set 25-16 to take a two sets to one lead over the Broncbusters.
The third set was once again very competitive as it was tied at 2, 7, 8, and 13 early in the set. Dodge City finally found some traction at that point to start building a lead as they scored eight of the next nine points to take a 21-14 lead. They finished strong closing out the match with a 25-15 win in the fourth set to win three sets to one.
Madi Spencer once again had a big night for the Conqs as she led the team with 13 kills while hitting .314 on the night. Makayla Courtney also came up big for Dodge City as she registered seven solo blocks on the night. Defensively 
Erin Smith and Gabby Valdez had six and five digs respectively, while Valdez once again led the Conqs with 36 assists on the night.
The Conqs will be back in action at home on Friday night when they host Hutchinson Community College at the Student Activity Center at 6:30pm. They are now 2-12 in Jayhawk Conference play and 6-21 overall.
