DC3 women's soccer falls to Coffeyville

Box Score COFFEYVILLE, Kan. -- The Dodge City Community College women's soccer team saw its four-match winning streak come to a close in a 2-0 loss on the road to Coffeyville on Saturday.

The match remained scoreless until Coffeyville (5-7 overall, 2-4 KJCCC) scored in the 86th minute on a penalty kick. The Red Ravens put the match away with a goal in the 90th minute.

"The girls controlled everything during the match," DC3 coach Tim Romanello said. "We just couldn't finish. We missed probably six wide-open shots."

The loss drops DC3 to 6-4 overall and 4-2 in KJCCC play.

The Conquistadors next play 2 p.m. Wednesday at Pratt Community College.
