Box Score DODGE CITY, Kan. -- The Dodge City Community College volleyball team competed well in the first two sets against 18th-ranked Frank Phillips, but couldn't get over the hump and fell 3-0 (25-20, 25-18, 25-14) on Friday night at DC3 Gymnasium.
In the first two games DC3 (3-20) played with the Plainsmen (25-3), but a critical error or two for the Conquistadors in each game let both slip away.
"That's a good team and we were there, but then we lost our momentum," DC3 coach

DC3 jumped out to a 5-0 lead in game two, but found itself down 20-14 before a three-point run cut the Frank Phillips lead to 20-17. Once again the Plainsmen went on a run to end the game, going on a 5-1 streak to end the second game 25-18.
