PRATT, Kansas:  The Conquistadors put in another valiant effort to attempt to break their losing streak, but were unsuccessful as Pratt ran away with the 3-1 victory over DC3 to put them under.

The Conqs fell 25-11 in the first set, but rallied with a 25-22 victory in the second to even things up.  Pratt then earned the next two set wins 25-22 and 25-14 to claim the victory over Dodge City. 
 
The Conquistadors drop their record to 4-24 overall and 0-9 in the Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference so far in the 2014 campaign.
 
Hailee Hoskinson and Emily Slattery lead the Conqs with 10 and nine kills respectively.  Hoskinson went 10-25 with one attack error for a .257 hitting percentage.  Slattery went 9-21 with four errors for a .238 attack percentage on the night.  She also posted one block solo and two block assists for DC3. 
 
Alexis Sanchez and Daisy Cheek were also good for five kills apiece.  Sanchez also collected three block assists and six digs throughout the match while Cheek posted 21 assists and 12 digs against Pratt. 
 
Next, the Conqs will take on Hutchinson at home on Wednesday, October 15 at 6:30 p.m.
