Box Score CONCORDIA, Kansas: Dodge City volleyball hit the road last night intent on ending their losing streak, but their attempts were foiled as Cloud County gained the three set advantage to snag the victory. Cloud took the first set 25-21, the second 25-12 and the third by a close 26-24.
Darrie Rogers led the Conq offensive with seven kills and no errors in 18 total attacks for a big .389 attack percentage. Both
Emily Slattery and
Hailee Hoskinson both gathered five kills on the night. Slattery also owned five digs and two block assists while Hoskinson posted two digs and one block solo.
Brandi Fairbank put up a .600 attack percentage after adding three kills in five attempts while
Alexis Sanchez owned a .200 hitting percentage after adding four kills and one attack error in 15 total attack attempts.
Daisy Cheek led the Conquistadors with 14 assists and was second on the team with 13 digs.
Samantha Endres helped the Conqs with 19 digs throughout the contest.
As a team, the Conqs posted 27 kills in 109 total attack attempts for a collecting hitting percentage of .138 on the night. DC3 also added 68 digs and four block assists throughout the match.
The Conqs will continue Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference tomorrow, October 18 at 11 a.m. when the Conqs take on Seward County Community College in the DC3 Gym.
