"I thought we played very well tonight, in all phases," commented head coach
Tim Romanello. "It's a been a tough three-game stretch for us when you consider we've played the three best teams in our conference in succession and that can create problems for you in a lot of areas."
"But it has been a great learning experience for us and I think the ladies really took to what we have been teaching this week."
Kayla Turner had an outstanding game after having a hand in every goal scored; she posted two goals and two assists for six points on the day to help the Conquistador effort. She posted four shots on goal in six attempts throughout regulation.
"Rachel was solid out of the back," continued Romanello. "Kayla was in top form tonight and a threat sequence after sequence, Erica and Kristina provided plenty of danger to handle, the list goes on and on; it was truly a team effort tonight."
Erica Ramos also picked up a goal and an assist in the first half after putting two shots on goal in three total shots on the day.
Kristina Trinceri snagged the other goal for the Conqs with
Bailee White picking up on the assist.
"Going into the match, we had six matches remaining, all conference matches, 18 points on the table available," finished Romanello. "We got the max three points tonight and now we have a week and a half to prepare for Pratt and Coffeyville, both home matches, looking for the max six points again."
All the DC3 goals were solid play, the first coming in the 23
rd minute of play when Turner passed the ball up to Ramos for the first goal of the match.
