Dodge City split a pair of games coming out of the holiday break getting back to action with a win at home over Independence and then suffered a tough road loss to Colby. BJ Freeman continued his monster freshman season leading the Conquistadors in scoring in both games. Against Indy, Freeman finished with 24 points on 9-18 shooting and went 5-7 from the free-throw line, while adding five rebounds, three assists, two steals, and three blocks. The freshman followed that up with a career-high 36 points on 12-22 shooting, with five made three-pointers and 7-8 from the free-throw line against #21 Colby. His 36 points is a career-high.Â

On the season Freeman is averaging 13.8 points per game on 43.1% shooting and 35.4% from three-point range, while adding 3.9 rebounds, 2.1 assists, and 1.2 steals per game through 15 games.Â
