Dodge City Community College Athletics

Dodge City softball has won 10 of the last 13 games and sit at 7-3 in conference play after last weeks games against Colby, Hutchinson, and Pratt. Melanie Castro was strong all week for the Conquistadors as she was 10-20 at the plate in the six games last week with six runs scored, six RBI, four doubles, a home run, a walk, and three stolen bases. 
 
On the season Castro is batting .476 with 30 hits, 25 runs scored, six doubles, one triple, one home run, 17 RBI, 11 walks, and 16 stolen bases. The sophomore has also not struckout all season in 20 games with 63 at bats. She currently ranks first in career triples (9), sixth in career stolen bases (35), eighth in career runs (82), eighth in career RBI (61), and tenth in career hits (101).
