Royjeannae Ursin is in her first year as assistant spirit squad coach at Dodge City, joining the staff in August 2025.
Ursin comes to Dodge City after spending the last five years coaching cheer in Houston, Texas, in community programs. She founded her own international cheerleading recruiting company called Grow Cheer Recruitment, which has led to her traveling to Kingston, Jamaica, to judge their first worlds competition, while hosting classes to share and teach her knowledge of cheer.
The Houston native has over 20+ years of cheerleading under her belt, including several years at the college level competing for Blinn College, Sam Houston State University, and Texas Southern University. She is a collegiate and All-Star NCA Champion, Cheersport Champion, and three-time All-American nominee.
She earned her bachelor’s degree in public affairs from Texas Southern University.
