Haley Hanson enters year two at Dodge City as an assistant athletic trainer; she joined the Dodge City athletic department as an assistant AT in July 2024.
She helps with all aspects of sports medicine at Dodge City from treatments, to injury care, therapy and more. Roetzer works with all sports and travels with teams during season to provide continued care for the student-athletes.
She comes to Dodge City after working as a graduate student at Louisiana State University working in athletic training with the baseball, track and field, softball, women’s soccer, and football teams. Also worked as a student athletic trainer during her time at Belhaven University during her undergrad.
Hanson was a three-year starter at Belhaven University for the softball team helping the program win American Southwest Conference regular season titles and one conference tournament champion, while also being part of the first team to make the NCAA tournament. She was a two-time All-Conference and All-Region honoree, and three-time all-academic honoree. She hit .371 playing in 96 games at Belhaven recording 105 hits, 55 runs scored, and 49 RBI. She played the 2019 season at Jones College.
She earned her master’s degree in athletic training from LSU and got her Bachelor of Science in exercise science/sports medicine from Belhaven University.
