Chris Woodruff enters his fifth year as part of the Dodge City athletic department after joining the Conquistador staff as Assistant Athletic Director in October 2021. 

Woodruff oversees compliance and eligibility for Dodge City athletics, while also helping organize and run gameday operations and much more for the Conquistadors. During his time at Dodge City he has helped the Conquistador athletic programs continue to progress, along with enhancing the student-athlete experience at Dodge City helping the athletic department renovate facilities along with develop new facilities with a new weight room. He also has helped enhance the gameday experience in many ways. 

In the summer of 2022 he served as the Head Coach of the Dodge City A's a summer collegiate baseball team that competes in the Rocky Mountain Baseball League. He led them to a third place finish in the RMBL going 18-19 overall and 15-13 in league play. He currently helps with the team in an administrative role. 

Before coming to Dodge City he served as Assistant Athletic Director and head baseball coach from 2018-2021 at Ancilla College (IN). During his time at Ancilla he oversaw the compliance and eligibility for Ancilla's 16 sports, while also overseeing gameday and facility operations/maintenance for baseball, softball, and soccer fields located on campus, along with gameday operations for other sports, also. 

As head baseball coach at Ancilla, he took over a program that had just four players on the roster and bolstered the roster to 31. During his tenure as head coach he helped 20+ players to four-year schools, while he also helped upgrade the baseball field and facilities. He helped fund raise over $100,000 for the program and that went towards new bullpen mounds and turfed bullpens, along with new game mound and home plate area, and batting cages. 

He also served as assistant baseball coach at Bethel College (now Bethel University in Mishawaka, Indiana) from 2017-18. From 2016-17 he worked as an assistant baseball coach at Indiana University - South Bend. 

His baseball playing career consisted of two seasons at Glen Oaks Community College, hitting .312 with two doubles, a triple, six RBI's, and 20 runs scored his sophomore year. After Glen Oaks, Woodruff transferred to Holy Cross College where he finished his collegiate baseball career playing two seasons. In his senior year playing in the outfield he hit .331 with 58 hits, 26 RBI, and 50 runs playing in all 52 of the teams game and earned first team All-Chicago Land Conference honors (2015). 

Woodruff received his Bachelor's degree from Holy Cross College and is wrapping up his Master's degree in Athletic Administration from Grace College & Seminary.Â
