Jordan Bruere spent three seasons as head coach for Dodge City volleyball.
Bruere in her first season leading the Conquistadors posted a 8-16 record in the spring of 2021 and in year two she doubled her total wins finishing 16-9 and fourth in the KJCCC going 8-8 in Conference play. The 2021 season saw the program host their first home playoff game since 2010 and record the most wins for the program since 2017. During the 2022 season the Conqs posted a 22-9 record and 10-6 in KJCCC action marking the most wins and most KJCCC wins in a season since 2010. Conqs would host Garden City in the first round of the playoffs win a first round playoff match for the first time since 2012. In three seasons she has had 12 All-Region honorees and 12 All-Conference KJCCC honorees. She totalled a 46-34 record in three seasons with a pair of fourth place finishes in the KJCCC.
Bruere came to Dodge City after a two year stint as the assistant coach at fellow NJCAA DI Volleyball program, Otero Junior College in La Junta Colorado. During her time at Otero, Bruere helped transform a program into a region champion and national contender. The Rattlers posted a 24-7 record in 2018 and a 25-10 record, an NJCAA Region IX Championship and a 7th place finish at the NJCAA DI National Championship in 2019.
During the 2019 campaign, the Otero team had 4 All-Region IX players, 2 NJCAA All-Americans, upset two #1 teams during the regular season, clinched their 1st ever NJCAA DI National Tournament Appearance, finished 7th at the NJCAA DI National Tournament, and had a player receive All-Tournament Team honors at the National Tournament.
During Otero's 2018 season, Bruere helped the team reach the NJCAA DI national polls 6 weeks in a row and as high as 19th, finished the season with a 24-7 record (2nd best in school history), 3 All-Region IX players, and helped 100% of their Sophomores move on to play at a 4-year college or university.
In addition to her duties at OJC, Bruere is also the Head Coach at Southern Precision Volleyball, an 18U volleyball club in La Junta Colorado.
Prior to Otero, Bruere spent two years at The University of Louisiana-Monroe as a graduate assistant coach under current Garden City Head Coach Patrick Hiltz. Bruere was in charge of the entire spring program at ULM, including the beach volleyball program.
Bruere was a four year volleyball player for Colorado State University-Pueblo from 2012 to 2015. During her time with the Thunderwolves she received was named to the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Academic Honor Roll for three consecutive years. She appeared in over 80 matches during her collegiate career, collecting over 1,000 assists and over 600 digs during that time. In addition to her volleyball career, Bruere also played one year of softball for CSU-Pueblo.
Bruere is a native of Rio Rancho, New Mexico. She holds a bachelor's degree in Physical Education from CSU-Pueblo and a master's degree in Sports Administration from University of Louisiana-Monroe.
