Colton Valenta enters his first year with Dodge City rodeo program serving as assistant coach.
He comes to Dodge City after a college rodeo career that saw him compete at Wharton County Junior College and Sul Ross State University. He was a two-time tiedown roping director in the southwest region and short round qualifier in southern and southwest regions. While Dodge City is his first coaching position he has helped coach numerous kids with their roping skills since his senior year of high school, while also judging youth rodeos.
Valenta earned his Bachelor of Science from Sul Ross State University.
