Brendon Hoberecht served as an assistant coach for one season with the Dodge City men’s basketball program during the 2023-24 season. 

For the past couple of seasons, Hoberecht served as an assistant at Kilgore under his father, Brian Hoberecht, former Dodge City head coach (2000-08). He was part of teams that amassed a 52-14 record over those seasons. During the 2021-22 season, the team went 31-3 earning a TEC conference championship, Mid-South Region championships, and made the Elite Eight in the NJCAA DI National Tournament. He helped develop three NJCAA All-Americans and seven All-Region players while at Kilgore, helping guide several players to NCAA DI to schools like Baylor, DePaul, and Cincinnati. 

Hoberecht played at the junior college level suiting up two seasons at Kilgore. During his two years at Kilgore, he helped the team go 39-15 with a 2021 Mid-South Region championship and 2021 NJCAA National Tournament appearance. He suited up and played in over 30 games during his time at Kilgore. 

Hoberecht earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas at Tyler.
