Former Head Football Coach (2022-2024 Spring)

Hometown: Seattle, WA
College(s): Central Washington University

Karg was the 23rd head coach at Dodge City serving in that role for two seasons (2022 & 2023) leading the Conquistadors to an 11-10 record over that time frame. He came to Dodge City after nine seasons as Head Coach at Monroe College where he was the first and only head coach in Mustangs football history.

He guided the Conqs during the 2023 season to an 8-3 record and 5-1 mark in the KJCCC to finish second in the KJCCC (best finish in conference since 2016), #6 NJCAA national ranking, and to the first ever bowl game win in school history. The Conqs would win the Wool Bowl 37-6 over New Mexico Military Institute to cap the season, tying for second most wins in a single season in school history.

The 2024 season would see the Conqs have two players earn NJCAA All-American honors while 23 players earned All-KJCCC honors.

In his first season leading Dodge City the Conquistadors posted a 3-7 record in 2022 finishing sixth in the KJCCC. The Conqs had eight players earn All-KJCCC honors.

Overall in nine seasons Karg amassed a 56-28 record with the Mustangs including a 10-1 record, an appearance in the Graphic Edge Bowl, #6 ranking in the 2021 season (team ranked as high as #5), and a school-record three NJCAA All-Americans. In just his second season leading the Mustangs he lead Monroe to a 7-3 record and earned Northeast Football Conference Coach of the Year in 2013. Mustangs went to their first-ever bowl game with Karg leading the way in 2018 as the team went 7-1 in the regular season to reach #12 in the NJCAA rankings and earn a invitation to the Graphic Edge bowl in Iowa. Mustangs also earned a bid into the Salt City Bowl during the 2019 season and Mustang linebacker, Tim Donnahue earned Defensive MVP honors in the game. In his nine seasons leading the Mustangs Karg recorded six winning seasons and three bowl game bids.

While at Monroe, Coach Karg produced more than 50 Northeast Football Conference (NEFC) All-Conference Team members, two NEFC Offensive Player of the Year Award winners (Jalen Brown - 2018, Dominique Shoffner - 2019), and had more than 50 student-athletes move on to NCAA Division I programs.

Prior to Monroe, Karg served as the offensive coordinator and director of player personnel for the Los Angeles Avengers of the Arena Football League (AFL) where he assisted with the development of quarterbacks. With the Avengers, Karg helped develop three quarterbacks who played in the NFL: Todd Marinavich, Tony Grazizni, and Erik Wilhelm.

In a similar position with the Wilkes Barre/Scranton Pioneers in the Arena Football's Development League (AF2), Karg's offense led the league in scoring, and the Pioneers team advanced to the Arena Cup Championship game. That season, the Pioneer's quarterback was the league’s offensive MVP and the team set multiple offensive records. For his efforts, Karg was named the 2007 AF2 Assistant Coach of the Year.

As a coach at Wyoming Seminary Prep between 2006-2009 he won more games in a single season than they had won in more than two decades by leading three seven-plus winning seasons.

As a player, Terry has had the opportunity to be a pro quarterback all over the world, playing in NFL Europe, along with Arena and Canadian Football Leagues.
