Shane Tucker spent one season with Dodge City CC football coaching wide receivers.

Tucker had two years of experience as a coach at the college level prior to Dodge City. In 2018 he was an assistant strength and conditioning coach specializing in speed development for the running backs, wide receivers, linebackers, and defensive backs. On top of this, he also was an assistant wide receiver coach. In 2016 while still an athlete he suffered an injury and became a student coach. He coached Richie James who became an All-American and an NFL player. 

While an athlete Tucker received several honors while playing four different positions. He lined up at running back, wide receiver, tight end, and kick returner. Over four year he was able to rack up 1,162 yards rushing and 21 touchdowns while averaging 4.3 yards per carry. He also had 67 catches for 869 yards, and 7 touchdowns through the air. In 2014, Tucker received honorable mention All-Conference USA at running back. In 2015 he was named to the Doak Walker Award watchlist for the best running back in the country at the NCAA Division 1 level. 

After graduating from Middle Tennessee State University, he was in an NFL training camp with the Buffalo Bills. 

Tucker is a native of Memphis, TN. He received his BA in Leisure, Sports & Tourism studies from Middle Tennessee State University.
