Evan Lassiter spent two seasons with Dodge City CC football serving as the running backs and tight ends coach as well as the special teams coordinator, while briefly working on defensive side of the ball, also. 

A native of Coral Springs, Florida, Lassiter joins the Conquistadors after coaching at his alma mater, Henderson State University, for the 2019 football season. While at Henderson State, Lassiter coached the running backs and assisted with special teams. Henderson State finished the regular season 9-2 and was invited to a bowl game for the first time since the 1975 season. Offensively, Henderson State ranked in the Top Three of their conference in scoring offense and pass offense. 

Lassiter came to Henderson State after coaching at Coffeyville Community College during the 2018 season where he coached the quarterbacks and wide receivers. During his tenure there, Lassiter coached three quarterbacks that went on to Division I schools, while also mentoring 10 more Division I signees. 

Before starting his coaching career, Lassiter played three seasons at Henderson State University, as both quarterback and punter, as well as a season each at Independence Community College and Florida Atlantic University. 

Lassiter graduated with a degree in business marketing from Henderson State in December, 2017.
