Dylan Umbra enters his fourth year on staff for the Dodge City football coaching staff as an assistant coach; he joined the staff in August 2022. He currently works with the runningbacks. 

During his tenure with the Conqs he has worked with tight ends and runnningbacks. He helped coach the Conqs to an 8-3 record for the 2023 season as the program accomplished history winning the first bowl game in program history beating New Mexico Military Institute 35-7 in the Wool Bowl. The Conqs finished the season #6 in the final NJCAA rankings and took second in the KJCCC. He coached a pair of runningbacks to KJCCC All-Conference honors and Jalen Smith earned NJCAA All-American honors. He started on staff with the Conqs during the 2022 season in which the Conqs posted a 3-7 record. In the 2024 season, his third season on staff for the Conqs he helped the team post a 6-4 record and finish fourth in the KJCCC and #15 in the NJCAA rankings; overseeing the runningbacks group which had Stone Wilson earn KJCCC All-Conference second team honors. 

He also worked as an offensive assistant coach with the Southwest Storm in Dodge City who competes in the Champions Indoor Football League during the 2022 season. 

Umbra came to Dodge City after coaching in the high school ranks for six years at Binghamton high school and Seton Catholic. He was a four-year starter in high school in football and played quarterback at SUNY Brockport for one season. Umbra was named The Daily Star 2010 Player of the Year in football as he set Section Four single-season passing records with 2,594 yards and 32 touchdowns and finished with an all-time Section Four record for passing yards with 4,553 yards in four seasons.
