Bob DeNucci enters his second season on staff as an assistant coach at Dodge City for the baseball program. He came to Dodge City after serving as the head coach at Hibbing Community College from 2020 through the 2024 season and will serve as an assistant coach for the Conquistadors.
In the first season (2025) at Dodge City the Conquistadors posted a 32-25 record and finished 15-17 in the KJCCC to finish sixth in the KJCCC West. He served as first base coach during games and oversaw several aspects of scouting and preperation for games.
During his tenure as head coach at Hibbing CC, he would see the team break several school records during the 2023 and 2024 seasons, as the team broke the record for home runs and stolen bases in 2023, while again breaking the home run record in 2024 while making a regional tournament appearance. In 2016, DeNucci made his way to Hibbing CC and started as an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator before taking on the head coaching duties in 2020. While as an assistant he helped more than double the roster, while helping lead the program to multiple regional tournament appearances, and in 2019 the program won the North Division in their conference for the first time in 20 years.
DeNucci has multiple other coaching stops on his resume with summer baseball programs. He served as the head coach of the Marble Mallards in 2019 in Minnesota leading them to the Minnesota State Amateur Tournament for the first time in 16 years. In 2018 he was the head coach for the Lockhaven Lightning of the MACL and during the summer of 2024, he was a bench coach for Conq’s Head Coach, JM Kelly with the Thunder Bay Bordercats in the Northwoods League, as they recorded their first winning season in 16 years.
The Minnesota native played collegiate baseball at Itasca Community College helping the team finish nationally ranked and region runner-up both years with the Vikings. In 2003 the Vikings would win the MCAC State Championship. He was a two-sport athlete at Itasca as he played point guard for the basketball team.
In high school he was an all-state player at Nashwauk-Keewatin High School, being a part of the 2001 team that finished 25-1 and took third at the state tournament. He was a member of the 1999 N-K Minnesota State Championship American Legion team. He earned American Legion all-tournament honors, while he also was part of a team that won the 2001 AAU Minnesota State Championship.
