Frank Morton is the son of Allen and Ruth Morton of Wright, Kansas. He attended high school in Spearville and graduated with the class of 2007. He was active in football, basketball, track, and baseball. As a football player, he was selected to play on the Eight Man All-Star team. 

He attended Dodge City Community College and received a degree in Welding Manufacturing and Farm and Ranch Management. He was also a member of the rodeo team and qualified for the NIRA College National Finals in 2010 in Bareback. Also, while attending college, he competed in the KPRA Circuit. In this circuit he won the Year End Average in Bareback as well as the KPRA Bareback Finals. 

His success in the KPRA Circuit led him to join the PRCA. He was an active member for six years. During this time he qualified twice for the Ram National Circuit Finals at which he finished third in 2016. He also qualified for the Prairie Circuit Finals three times and won the Prairie Circuit Year End Award in 2016. 

Since 2014, Frank has also been competing in the WRCA (Working Ranch Cowboy Association). His team qualified for the Ranch Rodeo Finals in 2016. 

Frank married his wife, Margo, in 2016 and they currently reside south of Wright where they have small cattle operation.Â
