Byron Winans was born on August 19, 1940, the son of Bradford and Dorothy Winans. He and his wife Beverly had two children, Brendon and Elizabeth.
Mr. Winans is a pas Kansas State University Foundation Board of Trustee member and is the founder oof Winans Oil Company, an oil and gas distributor. Mr. Winans was also a member of the Dodge City-Ford County Development Corporation Board of Directors.
Byron and his wife Beverly have been longtime supporters of Dodge City Community College Athletics and Dodge City Community College. Bryon was also the President of the Dodge City Community College Alumni Booster Club for many years.
