Box Score Back on the road to continue early-season action in non-conference play for the Dodge City men's soccer team as they traveled to Sterling, Colorado, to take on Northeastern Junior College. 

The Conquistadors, despite netting another early goal, would settle for the 1-1 draw on the road, moving to 2-0-1 on the season with the tie. 

The Conqs wasted no time striking first as there was a foul inside the box by Northeastern, setting up a penalty kick opportunity for Dodge City. Francesco Valenti would take the penalty kick and get the Conqs on the board in the first two minutes of the contest. The lead would hold up for a while until midway through the first half, when Northeastern was able to tie up the game. Even at 1-1 entering halftime, the second half would see both teams generate a few opportunities, but both came up empty, and the contest would end in a 1-1 draw. 

Valenti netted the lone goal for the Conqs, while the Conqs had just nine shots overall in the contest. Eduardo Solis was in goal for the Conqs, playing all 90 minutes. 

Conqs will be back at home on Saturday, September 6th, when they host Western Texas for a noon kick.
