Dodge City men's soccer continued their strong play as they returned to the win column with a non-conference victory against Trinidad State in Colorado, claiming the victory 4-0.
The Conquistadors improve to 7-1-2 on the season, picking up their fourth win in the last five matches.
Conqs would set the tone early, has they have done several times this season by netting not just one but two early goals as
Davide Dalla Francesca found the back of the net on passes from
Felipe Samary and
David Garcia in the fifth and seventh minutes. The Conqs added to their advantage in the second half as Dalla Francesca made it a hat trick for the day as Garcia found him again to make it 3-0 in the 55th minute.
Francesco Valenti capped the match for the Conqs with the fourth goal of the day as
Tadiwanshe Nhau found him for a goal in the 82nd minute as the Conqs secured a 4-0 victory.
Offensively, the Conqs took advantage of their opportunities and controlled possession, recording only 10 shots in the matchup up finishing with four goals.
Eduardo Solis earned the win in goal with the Conqs' second shutout of the season, as he recorded four saves.
Conqs move back to Jayhawk conference play on Saturday, October 4th, as they take on Coffeyville at 5:00 pm at home.
